I had the pilaf (plov), and it's just like my ex used to make. They even had a vegan version with twice the fruit. It was so good, I took to pints home with me and a giant loaf of sourdough.
Nice, family-owned place offering a mixture of cuisines (Russian and Uzbeck), great candies and good coffee! I especially recommend their black currant pie. This is REALLY something. You will not regret this experience.
The owner is a friendly humble guy. Their is a small seating area, so it is best to probably take it to go. But if you do eat in I believe it is a BYOB.

A nice addition to the McGinley Square neighborhood in Jersey City. The menu is limited but the items on their are good choices. My two favorite items are the salmon and the lamb and rice. I also love their cottage cookies.
