Don't be deceived by the cheat that Sergio is. Save yourself the trouble and go to a real dealership ANYWHERE BUT HERE.
Upon me addressing this discrepancy he proceed to get an attitude and even belittle me. I told him to reverse the deposit and return my paperwork, which he refused to do. He insulted me and told me I had wasted his time.
The most unsettling part his apparently he does this often and the owner was standing there like she never witnessed this occurrence before. My advice is to go there with your own financing or just find a dealership that you can walk into with out being insulted.
Update: Got a letter from their bank too that also declined it because the price was outrageous. So yes, this is more than a fair argument. As far as my bank not approving me? I got an approval for an even higher number than what I asked for prior to this. My bank (and evidently their own bank) thought it would not be the best decision for me or them to finance something so outrageously unfairly priced.
My husband & I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE here at Axis auto group down on Garfield ave jersey city, NJ. My sale person was PETER!!!! Ask for him!!!!! We found our car in one day (Friday). Picked her up that Monday! Organized, friendly & so nice all the staff!!!! Wish we can give them 100 stars!!!! Thank you guys so much for helping us purchase our first car!!
Upon reaching this location I waited another half and hour to meet with Saul (Salado or whatever his name was. Who I heard speaking to another costumer very rudely). When taken to the back room to sign the contracts he refused to print out or show me the final numbers that the bank was offering, he just wanted me to sign. However, I was able to see that the numbers he placed in the computer were as follows: A credit score 60 pts less than my own, a sale price 2k more than what was agreed on at the first lot and a double digit interest rate that was far to high and a bottom line that was 5k more than the original price.)
I actually found this place online. I can really say this was a great place to do business. Honest salesman. Ask for Peter, he was great and personal. Very knowledgeable and just over made me feel very comfortable about my deal. If anyone needed to purchase a used vehicle,this place has a variety of cars and good service.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. By far the worst customer service experience, and my last time working with them. This is an open warning to anybody who comes to this place, if you are looking to buy an overpriced and faulty car then you've found the place. For the purpose of not stirring anybody away from reading this with the LONG review I should be giving them, I will give a quick run summary. Wanted to finance a car through a credit union, they asked for a $500 deposit, my credit union saved me from making a bigger mistake because they informed me that they had over-priced the car. Car's worth was only $9k, they charged me $12k but made it to look like the had given me a discount, I checked their website and saw the price of the same vehicle (same VIN) was $10.9k, told them I'd still be willing to purchase the vehicle if they honored the price I saw, told me I was mistakenly seeing things, I'm an IT so looking back in their site's history was cake, saw that I MADE NO MISTAKE and they had quickly changed the price as soon as they thought they had me, sent an email and even gave them a chance and it wasn't until I was frustrated and done with this giant scam that I wanted to stop the deal when suddenly, IN PEN THEY WROTE IN THEIR PURCHASE SALES AGREEMENT "NO REFUNDS". Am still planning on taking action and am willing to work with anybody who has had a similar experience with this. Close this place down immediately.
I came all the way back TO my hometown and Axis didn't disappoint. Thanks you Peter for the BEST experience ever. I was very happy with Peter from start to finish. He catered to my husband and I needs and even interacted with the kids and found us exactly what we were looking for. We will DEFINITELY be back. I haven't had a car payment since 2008 but he made it worth trying again.
If I could give this location no stars I would. I spent my time from 11 am to 5pm attempting to buy a car at Axis. I started at the Broadway location and worked with Angel and Catherine (who were the nicest people) to test drive, submit and application and even pay the down payment. But when it came time to sign the contracts I had to visit the Garfield location.
