Matthews is located right near the Grove Street path. It's has a very inviting decor offering a full bar and outdoor seating. The skirt steak, brussel sprouts, and Mac and cheese were excellent. The Manhattan cocktail was quite good. The service was attentive and friendly.
Gorgeous little space with some really good food. I had the pancakes, tried some biscuits, and some scrambled eggs.
Mathews. One of our neighborhood spots. Love the atmosphere. Have only had dinner there once but it was excellent. We stop in semi regularly just for a cocktail or two! They have a good balance of really "insta-worthy' beautiful (almost to the point of annoying because who wants to drink it and mess it up!) drinks to old school, perfectly mixed drinks. Definitely a good spot.
I am really picky with food, but I really love going to this spot for dinner if I have a chance too. The ambiance is warm, friendly, clean, and quiet- which is perfect for business dinners or a date night out with friends. I have been here a few times for important client dinners, and the service each instance has been excellent. They always go the extra mile to accommodate me, which is greatly appreciated. The food is also delicious and reasonably price for what you get. (I would recommend their chicken, steak, or pork dish). You must try this spot that is outside the Grove Street Path Station!
The food here is so tasty and well made. They have the best deviled eggs in town, hands down, if only there were more than 3 per order! Fantastic burger, perfectly cooked. I went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy, but the staff was all super nice and did a great job keeping up. I will come back for sure.
The biscuits were brilliant! The eggs were good and the side salad was an interesting compliment to the egg. The pancakes were a little too heavy for my liking-you appreciate the flavors in the first few bites but then it's too heavy to finish the whole thing.
